Mlp is good but not great. It depends on what type of show you want though. If you want a good psychological thriller, I recommend the Boxtrolls or The Babadook. If you're into action movies (or anime) you should check out some anime, or the Matrix Trilogy.
If you want a more light hearted comedy, I recommend any one of the Madagascar movies, The Lorax, The LEGO Movie, or Wreck-It Ralph.
There's tons I could list here, but you probably don't wanna see all of them.
