This is a real conversation we had in class today.
Student: "I have a question. Is this equation true?"
Teacher: "What equation are you talking about?"
Student: "Well, I got this equation for homework..."
Teacher: "What equation did you get?"
Student: "The one you gave us on the whiteboard."
Teacher: "Oh, right. What equation did you get?"
Student: "x=1/4"
Teacher: "You're supposed to use x to find the value of 1/4."
Student: "So then what would be the answer?"
Teacher: "Oh, I think it would be something like -14 or something like that."
*the class laughed*
