I mean yeah the movies are bad, and the books are dumb, but still... It's not that bad. Sure the characters are annoying and the plot is cheesy as heck, but all in all it's a fine vampire story.

i mean, it's not terrible, but i can see why a lot of people don't like it.
the writing, the characters, the love triangle (ugh), all that stuff
it's all bad
but i don't really mind it

What makes me sad is that there are so many other vampire-related books and movies out there that no one has ever even considered that the Twilight series may not be the best example of them all.

it just bothers me when people say it's a bad series without giving any reasons at all, because then they come off as stupid

I remember watching the first twilight and i hated it because of everything wrong with it. I was bored halfway through.
I decided to watch the second one to see how it goes and it didn't go good. They basically reused parts of the first movie and tried to cover it up with some "new" elements.
The third one was even worse because they thought they needed to add comedy into it and it was pretty much awful. I was almost about to give up on the series.
I watched the fourth movie expecting nothing special. I did end up enjoying it, however, mostly because it was actually pretty funny to watch them all die in the end.
Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed it, I just hated watching it for the most part.
