I actually saved someone from a burning building.
Well, I think it was a building. It looked like one, anyway.

@Ione
It was pretty cool.
I was walking by this house when suddenly I heard a woman screaming and saw smoke coming out of a window.
Then the whole place went up in flames.

I just pulled her away from the door. She thanked me afterwards.

So you basically just did nothing but pull someone away?

@TheBlue
Yeah, exactly.
But it felt really good to save someone's life.
Plus she gave me cookies afterwards.

You just pulled someone from a burning building?
That's not heroic.
If you're going to do something like that, at least throw them off the roof or something.

@TheBlue
Actually, I think I just made things worse by pulling her out. I didn't even know there was a fire until after I pulled her out of the house.
Because of me, people died.

I should've known that you'd be so judgmental after just one post.

"Should've known"
You didn't have to assume anything.
"one post"
How could you possibly know that?
Maybe I'm judging you based on what I read in this thread, and I'm right.

Okay, so your opinions on how I handled the situation are bad.
But there's still the fact that I saved someone's life.
Even if it was a complete idiot, I still did good.
So no matter what, I'm still a hero.

Well yeah, you're a hero. But that doesn't mean you don't deserve death.
You don't really deserve the title of hero, because you basically did nothing besides pull someone away, but you can still be considered a hero in a certain sense.

I pulled her away from something that could have killed her, and she thanked me.
What more is there?

It wasn't like I just gave her the finger or anything.
