I was very excited about the first day of school. I went to the classroom and sat down next to my best friend.
The teacher was explaining our daily routine and asked if any students had questions. One hand slowly rose up in the middle of the room, then another, and then several more hands rose up out of nowhere. The teacher called on one student, who said:
"Can I take a nap now?"
The teacher smiled, said yes and went down to tell everyone to go back to their seats. A small voice in the back of the classroom then said:
"I have a question!" Everyone turned around, and noticed it was me.
"What is 'gravy'?", I said.
The teacher looked at me in confusion and said: "Let's talk about that tomorrow."
My best friend whispered in my ear, "Why would you ask a stupid question like that?"
I just smiled and whispered back, "Well, when I was little, my mom told me I was made from 'gravy'. I asked her why she didn't make any, and she said she needed more people... now I have two questions!"
