i'm using it right now
it's the new asus zenbook ux31a
the screen is amazing, you can hardly see any glare from the backlight whatsoever.
the trackpad and keyboard are great as well (although the keyboard isn't quite as comfortable as my old toshiba's)
cpu: intel core i5-3317u 1.7GHz processor
screen res: 1920x1080
gpu: intel hd 4000
sound: stereo speakers with subwoofer
so far i've noticed no negative things about it

not working that well anymore
its slow and some keys don't register properly

i wouldn't consider this "trading up" for a different laptop
it's a complete replacement, not an upgrade.
and there's nothing wrong with upgrading a laptop when the time comes.
plus, my old laptop was on its last legs anyway
the fan had been making a lot of noise for months now

I'm talking more about trading in laptops for MacBooks, because I see people do that a lot :p
But, okay, I guess you're right. As long as you don't waste money then you should be okay ;)

i used to have a macbook, it wasn't that great.
it had terrible build quality and the speakers were horrible.
