I can't play games anymore because the controls are all screwed up, and I have to wait for games to load forever. I can't even play my own game without freezing up every five seconds.
Seriously guys, is this how you're gonna run things? This is why I'm never making a roblox game again

I have an i5-2500k with 8 gigabytes of ram and an nvidia gtx 650 ti boost, so I'm not having any problems with this end of things.
Roblox itself has a pretty crappy memory system though, and it needs more memory optimized for lower end systems, which is what most people have these days

roblox's memory system isn't too bad but if you think about it, you do need to load the whole thing into memory if you want it to work correctly. so you either make it more efficient or find another way around it...

Yeah, if they were smart they would just release a new memory loader with the ability to use less ram, and thus allowing people who have only 1 gigabyte of ram to play with no lag

but that's going to take a while and it would be a hell of a lot of work
and besides, how many people would actually be able to play it like that?
there wouldn't be too much of a demand for that. i mean, i'd be all for a RAM-less roblox because it would still work without lag but then again, i also have 4GB of RAM so that would really make a difference
i mean, i guess if they can find a solution to that or a workaround, then maybe

The problem with Roblox is that even on computers with a LOT of ram, it can't keep up and freeze every few seconds. I guess the reason why it freezes is because when you click on a GUI, it needs to load the whole object and all the scripts in there into memory, which takes a lot of time
So that's what I'm saying, is that people who don't have computers with a lot of ram, they need to keep it as light as possible

well if i didn't know roblox did this, then i wouldn't even consider working with it.
i'd probably give up before i even started working on anything
but i'll probably stick with roblox because i've already learned enough stuff that i could build a game, so i might just try building something
it could be fun to see how things turn out

I wouldn't get started either if I had to wait five minutes for my game to load. It's just not worth it. That's why I want them to improve their memory system

well, like i said, it's going to take a while to make that kind of improvement.
and besides, i think they're more focused on making updates to make it more attractive to new players.
i mean, they actually removed a huge portion of the memory usage by removing certain objects in the lighting. that's pretty nice. but yeah, it still has some work to do.

oh, and another thing: when i first joined roblox years ago (i was 8), there wasn't really anything to do besides go to free models and mess around with scripts.
at least that's what i did. and i guess i can do that now, too, though it doesn't really feel the same now. anyways, that's what roblox is to me right now.
