"Chivalry: Medieval Warfare"...
...and it's pretty good.
I've never played any games like this before, but here's what I've seen so far:
The medieval warfare theme is actually done really well. The weapons are all unique and look really nice. The classes are all pretty well balanced. The sword fighting is challenging, which makes you feel accomplished when you win a fight.
What makes me like it even more is that the developers have added several different modes in their game.
There's "Sword Fighting" mode, where you'll be spawned into a field with a few other people, and you can just pick up your sword and start swinging away at other people. There's also "Execution" mode, where you'll be playing as either an executioner or a victim. You're trying to kill your victim before they kill you. There's also "King of the Hill" mode, where you're trying to capture and maintain a flag for as long as possible.
If I had to compare it to anything else, it'd probably be a combination of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Team Fortress 2.
The game's not free, but it does have a Free Weekend version, which should be coming out around this weekend. Check it out, and let me know if you like it too!

I was kind of skeptical at first too, but I was pleasantly surprised.
It might just be my taste in video games, but I thought it was fun to run around with my buddies and try killing each other in medieval fashion.

By the way, there is a free weekend, but it won't start until tomorrow afternoon. You may have to check back on Tuesday afternoon to see if the free weekend has started up again.
