oh i thought you said he was holding a gun in his hand, my bad, i thought that meant he had a gun and was standing there holding it down like some sort of statue, so when you said he pulled out a revolver i assumed that meant he had a second one hidden somewhere which he was now using
anyways i figured he would pull out something other than a gun, so i just went with it and hoped for the best
i do take it seriously because i've actually been in scenarios similar to this one on multiple occasions so i was trying to play it as realistically as possible

You're the only person who got it right, but you still screwed up. You shouldn't have shot him without asking first, because he could've put the gun away and put his hands up. He did not pull out another gun or anything, he put his hand in his pocket and took out the same gun he already had.
