It looks too much like a game company logo rather than an online gaming site logo.
There's no creativity in this logo. The only thing that makes it unique is that it's a 3D "R"

but i guess the new one will grow on me

I would've liked it more if it was a transparent R with a light blue outline. Like the original Roblox logo.

the roblox font has been around since i joined roblox
i'm pretty sure roblox will never change it
and besides, i always liked how the text looked in the bottom right corner when you click a place
