Maybe you were distracted or something... Maybe you were on the phone while feeding your dog, and you accidentally fed him more than normal.
Or maybe you didn't even realize you were giving him chicken.

You can try to see if he has any kind of sickness then.
Because that's the only thing I can think of right now.
But you really shouldn't give him any chicken anymore either.
If you do, he might get sick again.
