it seems a bit fishy that you are on a bus going to the airport but then you want help finding somewhere to eat nearby

Not to eat. To eat at, as in "I need to know where to eat at near the airport." I'm guessing by your choice of words that you're from another country that doesn't understand English as well as those of us who speak it as our native language.

i didn't read the first line
i read the second one
that's how most people actually do it
most people tend to read from bottom to top rather than top to bottom
i find top to bottom more convenient as it allows me to get a quick idea of what's going on without having to read everything but if i want to read something more thoroughly then i'll start from the top and read down

if he's just going to the airport then why does it matter

so the airport isn't nearby to where he is, and he's asking for some place nearby
