i always pick Charizard because it's my favorite Pokemon
then i get bored of using Charizard and I start using random other ones
then I realize that my team is a bunch of different types which makes them weak against each other
and then I remember all the water type trainers in the game
and that's how I lose every time

Same for me, I use Snorlax or Mewtwo.
I can't choose between the two, so I just use both. It works really well against trainers who only have water Pokemon.
