"I have autism" is an attention seeking way to try and get sympathy for their problems, yet the fact it doesn't really work. They still suffer the same issues as before.

i kinda see what they are getting at because I know someone who has autism and I am not saying this to sound like a jerk but his personality changed ever since he found out that he had autism

If your kid has Autism, I recommend using Social Stories (google it)
They're designed so your kids with Autism can learn how to socially interact better by reading stories about everyday social situations such as going grocery shopping or walking up stairs or playing sports
It's usually best if they start very young, but there are some good ones made for older children too.
