and i cant understand why

but isnt it supposed to be the same?
like if you add 2+2 and you get 4
then you subtract 2 from 4 which gives you 2

because one is addition
and the other is subtraction
it's like saying 2+4-2=7
that makes no sense because you're doing subtraction after addition
which isn't what you do
you do them separately

why does it make no sense?
i mean im just asking why
this isnt a question where theres a right answer or wrong
there are different ways of explaining things
so why cant i just explain it differently?

it does exist though
you just have to look at it in a different way
its like saying that if you do addition first and then subtraction you get a different number than subtracting first and adding later
it doesnt matter when you do it
its the same thing

there has to be an explanation though
or else it just makes no sense to do math
and then why would we learn how to do it
so then why even teach math classes if its so pointless
im starting to feel like im being scammed by the education system

im not being confusing
i just want to know why taking something away and then adding it back on isnt the same thing as adding it first then taking away later
youre saying its not because theyre different things
but im just wondering why its not the same thing
because if it is then youd still get the same answer

because that's what you said you were talking about
i'm confused too
it's like you're telling me something that isn't even happening
if you subtract something, and then add it back on, you are going to get the same amount
if you add something first, and then subtract the same amount, you will get a different amount than the original one
