I know I am late in saying this, but I really do think that the 6th grade is better than the 7th.
Now, don't get me wrong, there are some things about the 7th grade that are good. For one, there are actually classes that can be somewhat challenging. It's not like you're just doing stupid math problems and reading books all day. There is a lot of writing to do, which is good for school later on.
But those classes make up for a whole lot of other things in the 7th grade. Like how the teachers are worse (and they are), how the students are worse (and they are) and how the overall environment is worse (and it is).
In the 6th grade, even though we had some dumb teachers, most of them were decent people who knew what they were doing. In the 7th grade, a lot of our teachers seem like they only got their jobs because no one else wanted it or was able to take it.
The 6th grade had more decent people in general. The kids weren't as dumb in the 6th grade. The 6th graders respected each other a lot more, and it didn't matter if you were popular or not. No one made fun of anyone else.
But then I got to the 7th grade, where I have seen kids do stuff that makes me want to punch them in their face. I'm not kidding when I say this; there are a lot of kids in the 7th grade that are so bad, I could just punch them right now.
I don't know why, but it seems like everyone in the 7th grade is a complete jerk, and it's really starting to make me sick of these kids. Like, why can't you guys be nice? Why can't you respect your fellow students?
I understand that high school isn't going to be better than middle school, but I have to admit that it's nice to be able to look forward to something. High school is still a couple years away for me, but at least I know what to expect from it. Middle school, on the other hand, has been pretty unpredictable so far.
