I was young, innocent. And I didn't even know that OT existed.
But then one day, my mom asked me if I knew anything about the Internet, and I told her that I did.
And then she told me that they were going to start a website called "Off Topic", and I was excited.
But when I joined the site, I quickly realized that it was an absolute mess.
There was no rules. No moderation.
So I thought that there should be some sort of community standards, so that people would stop talking about inappropriate things. (Like this guy who tried to teach me how to make out with girls.)
So I reported him for innapropriate content, and he got banned.
That's when everything went downhill.
For the next few days, all I saw on the forums was people complaining about me being a moderator, and how I ruined their fun.
After a while, I was just sick and tired of hearing the same thing over and over again. So I posted a thread saying: "If you don't like me here, why don't you just leave?"
That is when the real problem started.
There were more than 50 replies to my thread, all of them telling me how much they hated me.
Some even suggested that I commit suicide.
I was so scared by those comments that I left the site for 2 weeks.
When I came back, I found that all of the people who posted those comments had been banned. So I reported them for harassment.
They got perma-banned. And now nobody remembers them at all.
But that's not all that happened during those two weeks.
Because I didn't check up on OT every day, I missed out on some pretty big stuff.
Like, the first ever offsite link ban.
And the whole "Zootopia" thing.
And the "Dumbest subforum ever" thread.
All of these things happened while I was gone.
So I thought that maybe there should be some sort of system where we could keep track of what happens while we're offline.
And then I remembered this thing called a "wiki".
It's basically an encyclopedia of everything that has ever happened in your community.
And it would have all of the stuff that I missed.
So that's when I created the OT Wiki.
And now I'm one of the most respected mods on ROBLOX.
