1st and 3rd grade are great, but 2nd grade is hell.
I think that in the process of transitioning between first and second grade, they teach you too many different things. Too many things to focus on at once. This leads to you feeling overwhelmed and therefore not doing well in school. By 3rd grade, however, this all makes sense.

It's not that I can't handle it, but there's just too much to focus on at once, and then you fall behind and start thinking "why am I even here?" when you're actually being taught.

You can't think "Why am I even here" in second grade.
You're either going to school because you enjoy it, or you don't, which means that you should stop, and there are plenty of places for you to go to outside the home.
