sarcasm is very easy to understand
its just when you're dumb and don't know what it means that makes you think its hard to get

i was in the same situation as you once
i felt like i was being ridiculed for not knowing sarcasm when i really didn't
but then i looked at sarcasm like this: sarcasm = making a statement that isn't true but is meant to be funny
and that pretty much helped me understand how people can use it correctly
it's just people who don't know what sarcasm really means who say it's hard to understand

if its an insult or something, it's obvious what they're trying to do
but if someone is joking about something, and they dont think that what they're saying is funny, then they wouldnt know

yeah, i guess i feel like you'd need to have a good understanding of grammar first
like, you need to know all the parts of speech (nouns, verbs, adjectives, etc) and be able to identify those before you could possibly learn sarcasm because sarcasm has a lot to do with using words in a clever way that doesn't make sense to most people
which is why i think sarcasm is easy to understand because you just need to know how to use it, not actually be able to get it

that doesnt happen now lol
i still remember when i didnt know what sarcasm was
the person who told me made fun of my lack of knowledge and said sarcastically "i hope you find out before you start using it", which got me mad
but then i found out later that she was being sarcastic herself
and i saw her point of view after that
so yeah
