Except when it comes to things that you are powerless against, you just don't want to admit it.
And I'm not sure that I believe in Him anyway.

Why do I have to die first to go to Heaven?
Why can't I go straight there if I believe in Jesus?
Isn't that what Jesus did? Die for our sins so we wouldn't have to?

I agree with you.
Jesus should've went straight to Heaven also.
But then again, even death for Him wasn't enough.
He had to make us suffer when Christ died on the cross.
It was a sacrifice, after all.
The more Christ died, the more of the sinners could be saved.
And yes, you are still under God. If He didn't exist, then we wouldn't be here to begin with.
