WWII was mainly fought by the US and USSR but that's beside the point
anyways the US can't start wars at will because it's wrong, you can't just take over other countries for no reason

i was talking about ww2 with japan though
also the UK was attacked first so they asked for help so that's why the US got involved
plus germany started a war by invading poland so it's not like anyone else was being unjustified in entering the war

the USA went to war with japan because the pearl harbor was attacked by them.
they didn't go into war because of the invasion of Poland, or else they would have went to war with both Russia and Germany at the same time. which they did not.
