i have an iMac that was bought in 2007
it has a quad-core processor and 4gb of ram
also the graphics are still very good for a 10 year old computer
and it runs games fine

im using an imac
and i've got a brand new 2 in 1 dell laptop with windows 8.1 and a dual core processor
plus i have a gaming desktop with intel core i7 and 16gb of ram
so yeah

i don't think the "imac" is anything close to being a "gaming pc", it's more like an office computer.

nope
imacs are very good for graphics processing
it has 512mb video memory
and the imac was built before apple stopped making great computers (after the release of the macbook air)

the apple computers made in 2006-2011 were garbage, they never were meant to be "great computers", those ones were just used for web browsing, email and stuff like that.
the new ones are just crap.

i've been using my imac since 2007 without any problems
it runs all my games fine
i've never had any issues with it

I have a computer that is probably older than you. It's pretty fast, but I can't play games on it. The only thing I do on it is write papers.
