people that have been playing since silver/leaf green gold/yellow and have kept up with every game after are just nostalgic for some reason. they love everything about it even if its crap now.

like a lot of people have been playing since 2006 so they grew up with these games and never really got to play anything else so they get excited about anything remotely close to the older games. and the ones that actually played older games and still play them want to see if its going in the right direction or not.

some of them know its bad but like i said its nostalgia
they have this big urge to play any pokemon game even if its a remake because they just want more content

also another thing is that the games seem to be aimed at new players which means a lot of people who don't usually play these games are gonna be getting them.
a lot of them will probably just want to catch all the new pokemon (which isn't very hard) and then leave them for some time and then come back when they are older and start playing the real games.

i know right it's pretty dumb really. they should be focusing on making a good game instead of making one for a new crowd of players

i mean the game does look really pretty tbh and the animations are cool too so if they don't expect the game to have much gameplay like the others then yeah it's fine.
but i still think that they should focus more on making the game better than trying to make it more accessible to new players.

that's true.

they've been trying to get people to play since 2012 with the original white version and black 2 (which were just remakes) and they have not worked
yet they keep doing these things

nah because like i said before it's pretty dumb and the ones that are playing it won't play anything else so they'll probably just leave after a while. but i guess that's what they want so they can sell the other games.
