I'm using Final Cut Pro, and it works fine for me. However, I'm curious to hear what else people use.

If you want a free program that does more than Windows Movie Maker, then I would suggest VideoLAN.
It's not the prettiest thing in the world, and it's not very user friendly, but if you learn your way around it, it can do some pretty cool things. It also has a lot of plugins, which adds more power to it.
