i was at my friends house and we were in this giant room that was pitch black.
all of sudden we saw a huge, long, and scary looking snake emerge from the darkness and it started chasing us through the room.
i got scared and ran into the kitchen where there was a lot of light.
we stood on top of a counter and tried to wait for the snake to go away.
it didn't work because the snake continued to chase us until one of my friends pushed me off the counter and then ran out of the house.
i was left by myself with the snake, i managed to find a knife in the kitchen and killed the snake.
the next thing i remember is waking up.
what did i just do?

i think you were probably scared enough to kill the snake and not have an after image of the snake, which is why you can't remember what happened.
if i said "i'm going to sleep" in every post would you be happy?
