I suggest you look up stuff on the 1920s in google and look it over, then make up an outline.
After that, research and fill in what you can with your outline.

Well, if you were doing a history project I would suggest using the chronology of the century as your main focus. 1920s history is usually organized by years.
1921: "Red Summer" (race riots), Scopes Monkey Trial
1922: Rosalind Franklin born, Teapot Dome scandal
1923: Charles Augustus Lindbergh, Jr. kidnapped
1924: J.R.R. Tolkien's book The Hobbit released, first broadcast radio play
1925: Scopes Monkey Trial ends
1926: Babe Ruth sets record for most home runs hit in one season (54)
1927: Charles Lindbergh crosses Atlantic Ocean, Babe Ruth signs contract worth $80,000 a year
1928: Amelia Earhart makes historic flight across the Atlantic Ocean
1929: Stock Market crash
