I remember going with my mom to a school for a conference when she was teaching 2nd grade.
I was in 4th grade and I felt really out of place.

Then you should make up an excuse for being quiet, and just go around saying 'hi' to everyone in the beginning of class. If you have trouble with that then you can always fake a cold or something.
