I love my family and friends
But I also enjoy the idea of "God" being real and watching over me. It's just very comforting.

well then it's a personal preference then because people can be non-religious and still have that sort of relationship with a god
and there are other religions besides christianity
so i guess that's fair enough if that's what you're trying to get at
