It wouldn't be considered an anime. I mean, what are the chances of a robot anime getting as famous as Naruto or Dragon Ball Z? It'd probably flop.

Also, what makes it an anime anyways? I've seen cartoons from China, Mexico, etc. and they all look similar. The only difference between them is the culture.
