I left for 3 days and came back with my luggage being a bit heavier than when I left.

I'm not sure if there is such a thing as a "chocolate factory souvenir" so I can only assume you meant "chocolate souvenir".

If I saw that, I would just buy a bag of chocolate from Walmart and put a label on it saying it's from a random place.
And then give it to my friends as a gift.

No, you don't get souvenirs to keep forever.
You get them, take a picture with them, and then throw them away later. If I bought a chocolate souvenir and kept it for months until it rots, that'd be pretty dumb.

Yeah but if you're going somewhere for a vacation, you don't exactly need to buy anything.
Even if you are, you don't really need to waste money buying something that you'll probably never use again anyway. That's why people buy cheap souvenirs.

But they would still probably end up in the garbage later on.
People only keep things if they think they'll have sentimental value for a while. I'm not saying I don't like getting souvenirs, I just feel like it's unnecessary sometimes.

i mean i don't even know what my favorite place is so i can't really decide on something

My favorite place to vacation is Florida. We used to go there for a week every year until I stopped enjoying it.
I'm not sure if it's because I've grown up now, but the only thing I found interesting there was the beach.

Well, the closest we have in North America is Hawaii (which is also where I want to go on my next vacation).
I just found out that one of our relatives lives there and has been there for over ten years. I want to visit them sometime.

When I get into college, I'm going to be applying for scholarships and grants.
My parents make decent money but they won't be able to help me financially.
That's why I'm hoping I can receive some scholarship money. But I probably won't get any.

is it like a government funded grant or something?
