I'm not sure if I should be disappointed or not. It was never confirmed that they would return, and since the OT and PT are in a different galaxy than TFA and TLJ, there could be a possibility of no more Jedi. And it's not like JJ Abrams has a good track record.

That's true. Darth Vader may die before the end of this trilogy, but who knows how many spin-off movies will be made after Episode IX?
