I'm not going to post it because it will get deleted but here's a description of the ad. (Warning: This is not me describing what the ad is about, this is someone else that watched it who posted it on Youtube)
"Sonic the Hedgehog and his pals Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Sticks are forced to move to a new home in the town of Green Hills. The only way they can stay together as a team is to join forces with the other townsfolk and their pets to save their beloved city."
The only problem is... is that it looks like complete crap. The only thing that looks good is Sonic. Everyone else looks like an absolute freak show.
I mean, have you SEEN Sonic? He's still the same Sonic we all know and love! Just look at that badass pose. You see the new design for the others?
No one will ever forget this day. We will remember this as the day the Sonic franchise died.

I'm not watching it. I'll just wait until my friends tell me about it.

@dzu
Actually, I can say that with confidence because there was one good game in the entire franchise: Sonic Generations.

There are many good games.
The original trilogy is decent (but only because they were the first games).
Adventure is mediocre. It's an OK game, but nothing special.
Unleashed and Colors are pretty good.
Generations is good, but I've heard complaints about its short length.
And then there's Boom.

Well, let's be honest. Unleashed was actually good. Not great, but still good. But I have to disagree with Adventure being mediocre. The fact that it was the very first 3D Sonic game was enough for me to love it. As for the other two games, I couldn't care less.

Adventure wasn't terrible, it just had its problems. For example:
The camera would sometimes get stuck.
It was difficult to control Sonic.
Some of the missions weren't well thought out.
Etc.

I can say this with confidence because I owned Sonic Adventure 2 Battle on Gamecube. I beat all the missions (except for those that required a partner) on Expert mode. I loved the game so much.

I never played SA2.
SA1 was okay, but it had some flaws.

Oh, I agree with you there. It had quite a few. But I still loved it.

@Super
If you do play it, be sure to get the second character for each of the four characters on the roster. They're all fantastic.
