Oh wait, I think I get it now! So, like if there was the number 1000-9999, it would be called just '1000', or would it be called '1000-9999'?

Like with a range, such as in decimals, or when doing math, it's usually called a range. But since you're talking about numbers, it'll just be called the number.

It's 9001. It could also be called "the first of nine thousand". But it really doesn't have any other name besides that, and it can only be referred to as a single number.

Oh, and yes, if there are four numbers together, like 9001 through 9004, then that is the range that is counted by those numbers. So it'll be called "9001 through 9004" or just "9001-9004", etc.
