i'm not sure if this is true or not, but apparently there was a 20 second lag when you posted something online back then so you'd have to wait about that long before your post would appear on screen

as mentioned earlier, there was a 15 year gap between the article on computers being useful for education and the creation of the internet, yet in just 10 years the internet went from being something you needed a university to access all the way down to something anyone can get onto nowadays
