Because i have to remember so many facts in school, like:
the chemical equation of combustion, all the rules for conjugating spanish verbs, how the digestive system works, how photosynthesis works, the parts of the brain and their functions, how atoms work, how cells work, the names and functions of all the bones and muscles and blood vessels, what all the different types of rocks are, the difference between a volcano and a geyser, all of the causes and effects of the french revolution, all of the wars the USA has fought and the reasons behind them, the causes and effects of the cold war...
I mean... i can remember most of this stuff right now because i've looked over the textbooks, but my memory is weak enough that it's easily forgotten.
