I mean I'm sure people have less knowledge in some way but I'm sure it doesn't mean you'll hate your family for being dumb. If anything they just need to learn more stuff in life. You can always teach them yourself.

Well you can't really teach someone if they don't want to learn. Your family probably just doesn't want to learn anymore since they are old enough to do whatever they want, you can't force someone to do something they don't want to do.
