Just use a bottle of seltzer, some hot water, and a lot of lemon.
Put the seltzer in the hot water, and squeeze in as much lemon as you can possibly fit into it. Drink it slowly and it will make your cold go away.

That is not how colds work.
You have to let your immune system do its job.
It works by destroying the viruses and making you sick in order to make you build up an immunity. Drinking water is a waste of time.

I did this to my brother once, and he said his cold went away after just 1 day.
