and found out that my younger brother had stolen a key from my parents' drawer and tried to break into our car.
When I asked him why he did this, he told me that he wanted to use the car to run away.
I'm not sure whether or not I should be angry about this...

No worries.
I'm not sure how to deal with this... He might have been just planning on borrowing the car, but there's still a chance that he might run away because he's been saying that he wants to move in with his grandparents.

I hope you took that key away from him.
If you didn't, please do so for your own safety and yours brother's.
Also, never let your parents know you got into trouble. They will ground you and you won't get to play video games and such.

I took it away from him because he tried breaking into the car again and then hiding it.
He was grounded for about two weeks because he also broke into my room and stole my school laptop (which is why I'm currently using an old computer).
