i'm afraid to take a shower, so my mom makes me take it in the bathroom with the lights on.
if there's a storm outside and it's loud, i hide under my covers.
and when it rains i get scared because of the thunder

You're not the only one who gets scared during thunderstorms. I also don't like taking showers alone (especially in the dark) because of that "What if someone sneaks in?" paranoia. The light makes me feel safe.
That's a shame you're so scared of them, though. They're cool to watch!

it's really annoying because whenever i try to play games on my computer in the living room with my headphones on, she walks in to make sure i'm ok

I just feel kind of vulnerable in the shower so I don't mind when people walk in on me, but the darkness scares me too lol.
