I'm not sure if you know this but a lot of people don't really need such power in laptops
I myself have an AMD FX 8320 @4.05 GHz and Intel HD graphics 4000 with 8GB ram and it can run most games pretty well (besides the few AAA ones)
I'm also looking into getting a laptop for college as well but I don't think I'll be buying one that has such high specs as well

I have a desktop with those specifications, except the CPU is a 6 core i7
But it is still bad for playing games, like Battlefield 1

The GTX 1060 will be able to handle BF1 without much problem tbh, unless your game settings are very high
