i am going to do this in two parts so here is part one
i recently had a laptop that got broken and i couldnt afford it so i went and bought a cheap chromebook for $50 but the keyboard was terrible so i decided to build myself a better one and after some research i found an old dell latitude d830 which i decided to use as a base
the reason i decided to buy this one is because it had the biggest hard drive out of the ones i could find and also had a decent cpu and graphics card
here are the specs:
motherboard: Dell Latitude D830
cpu: intel core duo t2050
graphics card: intel GMA x3100
hard drive: Hitachi hds722010ala300
memory: 2gb ram
so far ive opened up the computer and taken out the original hardware and installed new hard drives and memory sticks but i have yet to install windows so for now heres the problem im having
it seems like whenever i try to boot the computer (which it will do without any errors) it will just go right past the boot screen to the desktop and start with no errors
ive already checked to make sure all the cables were in correctly and tried installing drivers for the hard drive but it still doesnt work
part two will come later where i talk about how my keyboard works
