You need to get your mind into it if you want to write, and do lots of practice.
If you don't practice you suck at something, or you will at least.

That's actually why I'm writing it.
I think you should be able to have fun while writing and not feel pressured to make it good. That way you won't be as likely to stop halfway through because you're sick of it.
