I'm fine with it on a keyboard but it makes no sense why they removed the 360 camera

but those things are still possible in 1.8
just not as easy maybe?
you can't do stuff like this anymore though
http://www.roblox.com/ROBLOX-MC-World-1-item?id=121025354
or this
http://www.roblox.com/ROBLOX-MC-World-2-item?id=122225382
and i dont think minecraft is going to make a new terrain generator soon

I've found that using the left mouse button makes it easier to control your rotation.

"Everything, the controls are horrible, the blocks aren't aligned correctly, and more."
how does it look like for you?
for me it looks fine
and i dont think its harder to control the rotation
i use left mouse button all the time and it works great
and what do you mean by "blocks aren't aligned correctly"
im not sure if i understood that right

@The
You can't place things properly because they don't snap into place correctly, the terrain is unaligned, and more.

but i still dont see any problems with terrain generator
it still uses the same old algorithm like in 1.7
you just need to get used to the new controls

no thats not what you said in your first post
you said "the controls are horrible, the blocks aren't aligned correctly, and more."
which makes me think that the controls are bad and that the blocks are not aligned correctly
i dont think its more difficult to build in 1.8 but maybe you can agree with me that it is different

@The
The terrain generator is unaligned in 1.8, meaning that when you place a block down, it doesn't look as nice as it did in 1.7.

that means nothing if you cant make a nice looking map
it doesnt even matter if the terrain generator is unaligned

It's not a bad thing. The camera angle can be changed with a command line option, and if you want to play with a controller or on a touchscreen, then it's good for you. I do like playing on my PC with a controller though.

@RSCakeBomb
There are a few benefits to it. If you try to build a complex structure, it makes it easier to work in smaller spaces. For example, when you go up a ladder, it doesn't rotate the camera, so you can still use WASD keys to walk around. You can also switch back and forth between the two modes.

There is no point to the 360 camera, unless you're playing with a controller, which most people aren't doing nowadays.
