So me and my friend are sitting in his van, (I'm not a bad person) and we're waiting for the cops to come so he can go back to his house. The cops show up, get out of their car, and they tell us that he's 17 and that we're both going to jail for 30 days. Like really? My friend was drunk, and he was driving. He didn't crash into anyone or anything, he just drove around the parking lot and then hit a brick wall with the van.
He is now going to court, and probably will be sentenced to some time in juvenile hall.

drunk driving is a big deal
if you're not on the road
you're not on the road
and it doesn't matter if you're not driving fast or you didn't kill someone
you're still guilty
