I'm just wondering, how come every time I make a good suggestion to improve ROBLOX, someone will have an idea for an update that's so bad it actually makes me laugh?

1. A feature that allows you to take screenshots of games (without having to use screen capture software).
2. A way to take videos of games without using video recording software.
3. A chat system where players can talk to each other while playing a game.
4. A system that allows you to make friends with other players.
5. A way to search through items in the catalog that match a specific name or description.
6. A way for games to be organized into categories by genre, popularity, etc.
7. A way to edit your own user profile.
8. A way to customize your own place page.
9. A way to post news about a game on the front page.
10. A way to make a list of favorite places.
11. A way to track the progress of your place's visits and favorites.
12. A way to add custom sounds to places.
13. A way to save game settings.
14. A way to share templates of places with others.
15. A way to organize places into collections.
16. A way to create groups that players can join to play together.
17. A way to customize your avatar.

Well, maybe they could make a program that goes along with ROBLOX that allows you to take screenshots of places you're in, and then put them onto the site. I guess it's not really needed, but I think it would be cool if I could see what my place looked like when it was first created, or if I could see the different ways people have decorated their places.

Well, I'm sorry, because I haven't found out how to save videos of games, so I think that one is a pretty good suggestion.
Also, you can only talk to others in your place. It'd be nice if there were a way to chat with other people even if they weren't playing a game, and that's why I suggested #3. You can organize games by genre on your own, but it'd be better if they were organized into categories on the front page for everyone to see. #4 and #5 are more important than the rest, since #6 - #9 could all be grouped together. Also, I don't think you should be able to customize the front page of a place, so I think that one is a bad idea.

And also, it would be cool if you could make a profile for yourself with your own personal information, and have a way to search for people by name. Also, there's a big difference between customizing an avatar (which I know you can already do), and making a profile. Profiles should be more detailed.

You can take videos of places using your screen capture software. You can edit them and put them up on YouTube.

Oh yeah, and I didn't realize #10 and #11 could both be used together, but I'm still keeping it in my list because I think it'd be nice if they made those features into something like "Favorited Places" which would allow players to keep track of the progress of their favorite games.

I don't know how to make a video file. Also, if there was a way to save it to the site, I could then have other people see my screenshots without having to upload them to another website.
Also, I was just using this thread to post some suggestions and examples for bad ideas.

So people can see what their place used to look like when they first joined ROBLOX (if they got it famous), or see how someone else's place has been changed since it first became popular, etc.
