and if i am "acting" like a jerk about it then im pretty sure its because you said "I think I'm going to bed" which makes it obvious that you're trying to make an excuse to go to bed, so therefore your statement is kinda pathetic and childish.

It's because I'm tired
No one wants to get yelled at for staying up too late by a parent so they just try to go to bed earlier than normal
