I got a new laptop. It's so much better than my old one that was made in 2007 and is running Vista...

@3DSP Laptops suck compared to PCs, in terms of performance.

Yeah but a laptop can easily be replaced. A desktop requires a lot more work and you need a good knowledge of hardware and software.

"XP is trash and is just being used for nostalgia" Oh yeah, I know... I don't use it as my main OS anymore (I've been using it on my main machine for over a decade), but I'll keep using it on this machine... Just because...

@3DSP I can build PCs on my own, so it's not hard to replace them. As long as you have an Internet connection, you can just Google it.

Yeah but if something breaks then you're screwed unless you have the knowledge.

If something breaks, all you need is another component. You can buy one from eBay or Amazon, or some other online marketplace. Or just go to your local computer store and buy it from there.

Yeah but if you buy a component it doesn't fit or doesn't work you're screwed.

Just look up the type of component you need, then look up the model number of the current component in your PC, and compare the two to make sure they match.

Yeah but how do you know it's compatible?

If it matches the exact same model number as the current component, it should be compatible.
