Also, the topic in not really off-topic but I just want to see what people think so there is no point in making a different sub-forum.

I'd ban any American that calls it "the best country on earth". It's a great country, sure. But every other country in this world has its merits as well, and calling our own country better than all of them only shows ignorance.

1) Get rid of the military industrial complex.
2) End all wars and get rid of our overseas military bases.
3) Get rid of private prisons.
4) Reduce the police state.
5) Get rid of corporate lobbyists.
6) End mass surveillance by the NSA.
7) Restore citizen's rights to privacy and liberty.
8) Eliminate income inequality

1) We have no privacy right now.
2) The police murder people who are unarmed everyday.
3) It is not a coincidence that the United States has more prisoners per capita than any country on earth.
4) Our military industrial complex creates jobs for American citizens by creating conflicts that can be used to justify war. If you remove the military industrial complex, there won't be as many jobs and the economy will crash.
5) I disagree
6) Agree
7) Agree
8) Disagree. Everyone would just work in Walmart and we wouldn't have a middle class.

You need to do those things so that you can restore liberty and freedom.
If you want to be a free country, then you need to do all of the above.

I'm not really concerned about those things because my country is quite good in those categories already.
I guess in America the government does do a lot of unnecessary stuff and wastes money, so maybe it would be good to change some government policies. But most Americans are quite proud of being American and not really want any major changes.

It's not that your country is bad. It's that other countries are worse than us. You probably have better laws than Somalia or North Korea.

@xuborus
Maybe I can change my mind on one or two of these things, but I still think that the police murder people who are unarmed everyday is a big deal for me.
And I actually think that income redistribution could help our economy, like welfare and social security.
