the cool ships
other then that i find it boring and unoriginal.
i think if they remade star wars but made some things different (like using modern tech to make effects look better)
that would be pretty cool :/

Ikr, I watched Star Trek: Nemesis. It sucked.
But I am a huge fan of Star Wars.

The first thing about Star Trek which I like is its themes - in particular, exploring human nature through sci-fi/futuristic lenses, as well as understanding how society can be affected by social issues within itself.
Secondly, it's the characters and their stories; there are so many people who have a major impact on the series (both in positive or negative ways), such as the protagonists/antagonists, supporting cast members etc. This includes both canon works & fanfiction alike.
Thirdly, its themes of morality also give us insight into what we should do when faced with difficult choices...e.g. the Prime Directive, what does it mean? Does it always apply?
Finally, one of my favourites is actually just how diverse everything was/is, whether you're talking about the Federation, Klingons, Romulans, Cardassians, Bajoran...etc. There was an incredibly large amount of imagination and creativity put into every single race you meet along your journey throughout the entire franchise.
And then again, the actual science fiction side of things is brilliant too because it has such amazing special effects, great acting performances, incredible cinematography, writing/dialogue, music/sound design & much more! The visuals alone really bring the whole show to life!
Basically, those were just some thoughts that came up after thinking about why I love this stuff, hope everyone likes them :)
