We're learning about the Civil Rights movement in history class and my teacher is just reading straight out of the book, not teaching us how to understand the material. It's a bunch of boring facts and events that she's just saying like we're supposed to remember all of them, which of course we can't.
Then she says stuff like "You're all going to fail the test, so you might as well quit while you're ahead!" This is only day two of this lesson.

But then she would probably have a heart attack or something, and they would never let me graduate

She just got done lecturing us about the Freedom Riders and now she's asking questions like "Why did the Freedom Riders think it was necessary to break the law in order to achieve equality?" and things like that. I don't think anyone knows why because we haven't been taught why.

It's not even like she has a good reason for reading out loud, either. Like, she just said "I'm going to read some stuff from the book." It's not like there were any questions on the homework or anything like that, so why are we reading this stuff?
